WATERBURY CT. ENGINE 8

 We are pleased to have the opportunity to build a new pumper for the Waterbury Ct Fire Department ! This will be our forth engine build for them, with the first now about 5 years old. Thank you, Waterbury FD, for the confidence that you have placed in us !!

 This is the 4th apparatus that Gowans-Knight is building for the Waterbury FD. Specs include: Spartan Metro Star chassis with Advance Protection System (Air Bag System), Cummins ISL9 450 HP Engine with Jake Brake , Allison EVS3000 Transmission, Telma Driveline Retarder, Hale Q-Two 1500 GPM Pump, Elkhart Cobra Electric, Remote Monitor, UPF 500 Gallon Poly Water Tank, GK Custom Stainless Steel Body, ROM Roll-up Doors with LED Compartment Lighting, Hannay Electric Rewind Booster Reel, Whelen NFPA LED Warning Light Package, FRC LED Pole Mounted Scene Lights, RJ Marx Custom Lettering.

 Waterbury Engine 8 Dedication Ceremony: See photos below from the dedication ceremony of Waterbury Engine 8 to official service. November 12, 2014. We gathered in the Bunker Hill Fire House along with Mayor Neil O'Leary, Fire Chief Dave Martin, various line chiefs of the WFD, the Bunker Hill Neighborhood association, several political figures, and City of Waterbury Aldermen. Engine 8 is now on the job !!
