Fire Apparatus Refurbishment

Gowans-Knight began its business by repairing and refurbishing fire apparatus. Today, refurbishment is a viable alternative to new apparatus purchase. There are, however, specific guidelines which lead the GK design team to the decision as to whether or not refurbishment is a wise choice for your department. Factors including vehicle age, type of brakes, chassis condition, engine, axle capacities etc., all are considered in the decision process. If you are considering refurbishment, let the GK professionals give you an honest evaluation. Shown below is just a quick sample of a few of the units we have done, which actually number in the 100's. More photos will be added as they are provided.
