Gowans-Knight recently delivered this new,Pound Ridge pumper.. This unit was delivered to the Pound Ridge Fire District on June 26th. This pumper was built on a Spartan Gladiator 4-door, six (6) man cab. The chassis is powered by a Detroit Diesel Series 60, 430 HP engine. The fire pump is a Waterous model #CMU two-stage pump, and included an Akron electrically operated deck gun mounted above the pump. The tank is a UPF Poly II 1,000 gallon capacity. The unit also included a Elkhart foam system with integral 60-gallon foam tank. The generator is a Harrison 15kW hydraulically driven PTO generator with two (2) Hannay electric rewind cord reels and one (1) Will-Burt "Night-Scan" roof-mounted light tower. The rear body is a custom fabricated stainless steel with numerous slide-out trays, and adjustable shelves.
